The Faculty of Clinical Sciences is one of the five constituent faculties of the College of Health Sciences, University of Jos, alongside the Faculties of Basic Medical Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences, Health Sciences and Technology, and Dental Sciences. Its origins lie in the University’s longstanding tradition of medical education, formerly organized under the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Following Senate approval in 2018, the medical school was restructured into the College of Health Sciences, with the former Faculty reorganized into its constituent faculties.

The Faculty is responsible for the clinical education and training of students in the MBBS programme, integrating classroom instruction with bedside teaching, simulation-based learning, supervised clinical experience, practical skills training, and structured mentorship. Students progress through postings in outpatient clinics, wards, emergency services, and specialty rotations, gaining competence, professional judgment, and patient-centered care.
