Professor Oche Ochai Agbaji, MBBS, MPH, MD, FMCP, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Jos and Consultant Nephrologist & HIV Specialist at the Jos University Teaching Hospital

Professor Agbaji specializes in Nephrology and HIV Medicine. He serves as Head of the APIN Centre at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), where he leads clinical services, research, and training in HIV care and treatment. He is also Co-Chair of the University of Jos Central Research Ethics Committee and has chaired and contributed to several institutional and national committees.

From 2018 to 2023, he served as Head of the Department of Medicine at the University of Jos, providing academic and administrative leadership. A dedicated clinician–researcher, Professor Agbaji has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications, advancing knowledge in nephrology, HIV medicine, and public health.

His work integrates clinical practice, medical education, and research, with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and strengthening health systems in Nigeria and beyond.
