Professor Ayuba Ibrahim Zoakah, MBBS, FWACP, MBA, is a Professor of Clinical Epidemiology & Community Medicine and Consultant Physician at the University of Jos, Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos, Nigeria.

Professor Ayuba Ibrahim Zoakah is a distinguished physician, academic, and public health leader specializing in Community Medicine, Clinical Epidemiology, and Health Systems. He obtained his MBBS from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1986, Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in 1995, and an MBA from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 2001, following a Postgraduate Diploma in Management in 1999.

He began his academic career at the University of Jos in 1994 as Lecturer II and rose to the rank of Professor in 2005. He currently serves as Research Coordinator in the Department of Community Medicine. Professor Zoakah has held several leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Community Medicine at both the University of Jos and Jos University Teaching Hospital (1996–2004, 2010–2015), Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at JUTH (1999–2004), and Director of Community Medicine at the Institute of Human Virology (2008–2010).

His research interests focus on the epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as health systems management. Through his teaching, research, and leadership, Professor Zoakah has contributed significantly to strengthening medical education, advancing public health, and improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
