The University of Jos hereby invites candidates who chose the University as First Choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination/Direct Entry (UTME/DE) and obtained a minimum score of 180, to apply for Post-UTME/DE Screening Exercise for admission into the University.

Students of the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Jos by the name Team Fortizo have emerged 3rd at the Grand Finale of the Maiden Nigerian Engineering Olympiad held at Eko Hotels and Suites Lagos on Tuesday, 30th June, 2026.

The team comprised of Bestman Ojomugbokenyode Agada, Emmanuel Ennan Dajan and Israel Smart Obidah with Engr. Dr. Meshach I. Alfa, HOD Civil Engineering serving as Faculty Guide.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya, FBCS, FNCS, has been named by TELL Magazine among the 20 Best Performing Vice-Chancellors in Nigeria.

The announcement published in the Magazine's June 12 to July 1 2026 special  Edition titled " _Integrity in Leadership: 20 Best Performing Vice Chancellors in Nigeria_ ," recognized 20 distinguished academic leaders.

The University of Jos, through the Anthony Nyong Climate Centre of Excellence (ANCCE), recently hosted a delegation from Wales under the Taith Exchange Programme, marking a significant milestone in international collaboration and climate justice engagement.
