The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya, has appealed to the Plateau State House of Assembly to intervene and assist the University in addressing some of its major challenges, particularly land encroachment around the University.
Mr. I. A. Yusuf, and Mrs. A. A. Adugbe. Mrs. Martina Ferdinand was a very hard-working pioneer Chief technologist of the Department, until her unfortunate demise in 2019. The Department is currently coordinated by Dr. E. S. Idoga. The Department of Veterinary Physiology, Biochemistry, and Pharmacology at the moment has four (4) units, namely Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Toxicology, with staff dedicated to teaching and quality research in these areas. The Department offers about 18 courses at undergraduate level. The Department also offers Post Graduate degrees in Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Pharmacology, and Veterinary Toxicology. The Department manages the Pharmacy Unit of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University, and staff members of the Department are open to local, national, and international collaborations in teaching, research, and community development.
