UNIVERSITY OF JOS MOURNS THE TRAGIC LOSS OF ITS GRADUATE, IBRAHIM PILASAR MBAYA

 

The Management of the University of Jos has received with deep shock and sadness the news of the tragic death of Ibrahim Pilasar Mbaya, a graduate of the Department of Political Science, awaiting National Youth Service.

According to reports, the incident occurred off the University Campus on July 27, 2026.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tanko Ishaya, FBCS, FNCS, on behalf of the University community, extends heartfelt condolences to the family of Ibrahim, his course mates, and the entire Political Science Department.

Management urges calm and assures the University community that relevant authorities are handling the matter. We also call on students to remain peaceful and law abiding while investigations are ongoing.

In difficult times like these, may the LORD comfort his family and the entire University community.
