UNIJOS VC LEADS NANAGEMENT TEAM TO NIS HEADQUARTERS, SEEKS STRATEGICPARTNERSHIP ON CAPACITY BUILDING AND RESEARCH

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya FBCS, FNCS, today led a high-powered management delegation on a courtesy visit to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (CGIS), Kemi Nanna Nandap, at the NIS Headquarters, Abuja.

The visit aimed to explore strategic partnerships between UNIJOS and the NIS in areas of capacity building and research of mutual benefit to both institutions.

Welcoming the delegation, the CGIS, a proud alumna of the University of Jos, described the visit as “very timely” given the current national challenges. She commended Professor Ishaya for his tireless drive in engaging relevant stakeholders for the advancement of the University.

In her remarks, CGIS Nandap applauded the Vice-Chancellor’s visionary leadership and immediately directed the constitution of a joint committee to develop a framework that will kick-start the collaboration between the two organizations.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Ishaya reiterated UNIJOS’ commitment to forging impactful linkages with national institutions to drive research, innovation, and human capital development.
