INVITATION TO THE 35TH AND 36TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY
The Management of the University of Jos has released the schedule for its Convocation Lecture and the 35th and 36th Combined Convocation and Golden Jubilee Ceremonies.
The Convocation Lecture will take place as follows
Date: Friday 12 December 2025
Venue: Aliyu Akwe Doma Indoor Theatre on the Naraguta Campus.
Time: 2:00 p.m.
Professor Abubakar Rasheed, former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, will chair the lecture. Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, will speak on the theme titled Building a Prosperous Nigeria, Academic Institutions and the Architecture of a Technology Powered Society.
The Combined Convocation and Golden Jubilee Ceremonies will follow on Saturday 13 December 2025 at the Jeremiah Useni Stadium on the Naraguta Campus. The ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. The university will present certificates, diplomas, first degrees, higher degrees and honorary doctorate degrees.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Tanko Ishaya (FBCS, FNCS), invites the university community, graduates, parents and partners to attend both events. The ceremonies form part of the institution’s celebration of fifty years of academic activity.
