UNIJOS HOSTS INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC LECTURE ON BEEF BREEDING, GENETICS AND LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION

The United States Livestock Genetics Export (USLGE) and Kansas State University in collaboration with the University of Jos, Faculty of Agriculture cordially invites Staff, Students, members of the University community, Researchers, Livestock Breeders and Farmers as well as the general public to a Scientific Lecture on the topic “Using Genetics to meet the Food Demand of 2050”. The programme is meant to bring together leading experts, Faculty, Students, Industry Stakeholders, Policy Makers and Researchers to discuss the future of Beef Breeding, Genetics and sustainable Livestock production in Nigeria.

Guest Lecturer: Dr Bob Weaber, Professor and Extension Specialist as well as a leading expert in Beef Breeding, Genetics, Cow and Calf Production, Kansas State University, USA

Guest: Dr Martins Sieber, President/CEO, USLGE

Chief Host: Professor Tanko Ishaya FBCS, FNCS, Vice Chancellor, University of Jos

Convener: Dr Dauda Bawa, Professor of Extension and Rural Development, Cochran Fellow/Alumni, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jos
