The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, FBCS, FNCS, led the University Management on a condolence visit to the Chancellor of the University of Jos, His Highness Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, LLD, the Emir of Zazzau, at his Zaria palace.

The visit was to commiserate with the Chancellor and his family over the fire incident that gutted their family house.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Tanko Ishaya FBCS, FNCS, today led a high-powered management delegation on a courtesy visit to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (CGIS), Kemi Nanna Nandap, at the NIS Headquarters, Abuja.

The visit aimed to explore strategic partnerships between UNIJOS and the NIS in areas of capacity building and research of mutual benefit to both institutions.

The attention of the Management of the University of Jos have been drawn to a publication by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Jos Branch titled "TOTAL WITHDRAWAL OF SERVICES DUE TO DELAY IN THE PAYMENT OF MARCH 2026 SALARY AND NON INCLUSION OF EAA IN OUR SALARY".

This is to confirm that salaries for the month of March 2026 have been paid today 8th March 2026. The delay in the payment of March salaries was a nationwide issue and not a delay on the part of Management.

CONTINUATION OF 1ST SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

Please refer to the directive by the Vice Chancellor dated 31st March 2026, that Examinations scheduled to hold on Wednesday 1st, and Thursday 2nd April, 2026 are postponed to a later date, and other examinations to continue after the Easter holidays. University Management, at its meeting of Friday 3rd April, 2026, considered the effects of the heightened tensions and threat to the lives and safety of students during the week, which led to Management allowing students to travel home for the elongated Easter holidays, and directed as follows:
