Professor Collins John, MBBS, FWACP (Paediatrics), MTM (Nagasaki) is a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Jos and Consultant Paediatrician at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, Jos, Nigeria.
Professor John obtained his MBBS from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians (Paediatrics), and a Master’s in Tropical Medicine (MTM) from Nagasaki University, Japan.
His clinical and research interests span nutrition, paediatric gastroenterology, and general paediatrics, with a focus on improving child health outcomes in resource-limited settings. A dedicated clinician, researcher, and educator, Professor John is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, mentorship, and collaborative research.
Through his teaching, publications, and clinical practice, he continues to contribute significantly to advancing paediatric medicine and strengthening healthcare systems in Nigeria and beyond.
