NEW YEAR 2026 MESSAGE FROM THE VICE-CHANCELLOR

My Dear Esteemed Staff and Beloved Students of the University of Jos,

As we step into a new year 2026, I wish to extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to every member of the University of Jos community. The beginning of a new year offers us a moment of reflection, renewal, and renewed commitment and hope for greater accomplishments ahead.

The year 2025 tested our resilience, adaptability, and collective strength. Yet, together, we rose above challenges with courage, unity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I am deeply proud of the dedication of our staff, whose professionalism and sacrifice continue to uphold the academic and moral standards of this great institution. I also commend our students for their perseverance, discipline, and determination in the pursuit of knowledge.

As we embrace the new year, let us reaffirm our shared vision of building a university that is globally competitive, innovative, and responsive to national development. This year, we remain committed to strengthening teaching and learning, advancing research and innovation, improving infrastructure, enhancing digital transformation, and ensuring a safe and inclusive campus environment for all.

To our students, I encourage you to remain focused, curious, and ethically grounded. Take full advantage of the opportunities before you to develop not only intellectually but also socially and morally. Remember that you are the reason why we are here. You are ambassadors of the University of Jos, and your conduct should reflect the values of excellence, integrity, and service.

To our staff, academic and non-teaching, I express my sincere appreciation for your unwavering support and dedication. Your role in shaping minds, advancing knowledge, and sustaining the University cannot be overstated. I look forward to your continued cooperation as we work together to move the University to greater heights.

As we journey through this new year, let us strengthen our bonds of unity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and turn our aspirations into lasting achievements.

I wish you all a year filled with good health, peace, productivity, and success.

Happy New Year, and may God bless the University of Jos.

My warm regards.

Signed
