Members of the public are cordially invited to the 9th Leventis Lecture of the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI), Centre of Excellence, University of Jos, scheduled to hold as follows:

Thursday, 13th November 2025

Venue:  Aliyu Akwe Doma Indoor Theatre, Naraguta Campus, University of Jos.

Time: 10am

Theme: Bringing Nature and People back to Life.

The Leventis Lecture is an annual event held in honour of the founder and benefactor of APLORI, Dr. Anastasios Paul Leventis, in recognition of his outstanding contributions toward developing vital human capacity for wildlife conservation in Nigeria and across West Africa.

This year’s lecture will be held under the distinguished chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, University of Jos, Professor Ishaya Tanko.
