The Global President of the University of Jos Alumni Association is Dr. Gad Peter Shamaki on Friday 24 June October presented the Vice Chancellor Prof. Ishaya Tanko with Basketballs from the Alumni Association as support towards the 27th NUGA Games.
This come as the university of Jos prepares to host its very first NUGA Games schedule from 6-16 November 2025.
NUGA 2025: Gov Mutfwang Pledges Commitment to Sports Development
In a bid to promote youth engagement through sports, the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to develop sports infrastructure and improve economy activities across the state.
The governor made this known yesterday while receiving a delegation from Chairman Royal CBS Group Mr Khalifah Onu and his team who are the prime consultant for forthcoming Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) competition.

ABUJA – The Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Mallam Shehu Dikko, has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to using sports as a tool for national development, youth empowerment, and job creation.
Speaking on plans for the 2025 Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA), Dikko described the event as a landmark initiative to discover and nurture young talents from grassroots communities across Nigeria.
