Engr. Dr. Mangai Morgan M. was elected Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in March 2025. He holds a B.Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical/Production Engineering, an M.Eng. in Mechanical/Production Engineering, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Materials) from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and is duly registered with the Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), registration number R26,009.

Dr. Mangai began his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi, where he served from 2007 to 2016. During this period, he held the position of Head of Department between 2012 and 2015, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the program.

He is married and blessed with three sons.
