Professor Geoffrey Micah Kumleng is a Professor of Mathematics (Numerical Analysis) and the Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Jos, Nigeria.

Professor Kumleng is a distinguished scholar in Numerical Analysis with over two decades of teaching, research, and leadership experience at the University of Jos. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Jos, and has risen through the academic ranks to become Professor in 2021.

His research focuses on the construction of accurate and efficient numerical methods for solving stiff and non‑stiff ordinary differential equations, block linear multistep methods, and their applications to partial differential and integro‑differential equations. He has published extensively in reputable national and international journals, contributing significantly to the advancement of computational mathematics.

Professor Kumleng has supervised numerous undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses, producing a new generation of mathematicians and researchers. His mentorship has advanced scholarship in applied mathematics and computational methods across Nigeria.

Beyond research, he has held key administrative positions including Head of Department of Mathematics (2021–2025) and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences (2025–date). He has also served as Deputy Dean, Postgraduate Coordinator, Examination Officer, and Student Adviser, demonstrating strong commitment to academic leadership and institutional development.

He is a member of the Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS) and the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), and has participated in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs.
