Our academic programs combine rigorous classroom instruction with hands‑on clinical experience, ensuring that graduates are competent in evidence‑based practice and responsive to the dynamic challenges of modern healthcare. Faculty members are actively engaged in research addressing musculoskeletal disorders, neurological rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary physiotherapy, sports medicine, and community health, contributing to both national and international scholarship.

The department also plays a vital role in community service, offering outreach programs and collaborating with hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and public health initiatives to improve quality of life and promote wellness. With a vision to be a centre of excellence in physiotherapy education and practice in Africa, the department continues to produce graduates who are leaders in healthcare delivery, research, and policy development.
