Dr. Ganiyu Adeniyi Amusa, MBChB, M.Sc., FMCP, FWACP, MD, FRCP, is a Reader in Medicine and Consultant Physician & Cardiologist at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, University of Jos, Nigeria

Dr. G.A. Amusa is a physician, cardiologist, and academic leader specializing in Medicine, Preventive Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Epidemiology. He obtained his MBChB from Ogun State University in 2004, M.Sc. in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Jos in 2021, MD from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in 2022, and has earned multiple fellowships, including FMCP (NPMCN, 2013), FWACP (WACP, 2014), and FRCP (Royal College of Physicians, London, 2023).

He serves as a Reader in Medicine at the University of Jos and Consultant Physician/Cardiologist at Jos University Teaching Hospital. Dr. Amusa is a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, the West African College of Physicians, the Nigerian Cardiac Society, and the Royal College of Physicians (London), among others.

A seasoned researcher, he has participated in numerous local and international studies, presented at major scientific conferences, and authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals. His research interests focus on preventive cardiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, and advancing evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Amusa is married with children, dedicated to his patients, and a passionate supporter of Manchester United Football Club.
