BOOK LAUNCH AND PUBLIC LECTURE MARKING THE VISIT OF PROFESSOR TOYIN FALOLA TO THE UNIVERSITY OF JOS
The University of Jos, Department of History and International Studies, Faculty of Arts wishes to invite the University community and the general public to a Book Launch and Public Lecture by foremost African Historian who is globally celebrated, Professor Toyin Falola of the University of Texas, USA.
There will be two activities marking his visit to the University of Jos to hold as follows:
DATE: Wednesday, 18th June, 2025
VENUE: Aliyu Akwe Doma Indoor Theatre, by Faculty of Arts, Naraguta Campus,
University of Jos
TIME: 10am - 12noon: Launch of a book titled: 'Understanding Colonial Nigeria: British Rule and Its Impact' (A purely academic discussion by Historians across Nigeria)
2 - 4pm: Public Lecture by Professor Toyin Falola on the Topic: "Power, Politics and Development"
Please, endeavour to attend as this internationally acclaimed Historian and Honorary Doctorate Degree Holder of the University of Jos shares from his wealth of experience.
