Professor Felicia Onyemowo Agbo is a seasoned academic and researcher in Science Education with over three decades of teaching, research, and mentorship experience. She holds a B.Sc. (Ed) in Biology Education, an M.Ed. in Science Education, and a Ph.D. in Science Education from the University of Jos.

Her scholarship focuses on curriculum development, instructional strategies, teacher education, and science literacy, with particular emphasis on empowering rural women and advancing innovative teaching methods in science classrooms. She has pioneered research on science education for rural women, reproductive health technology, and the design of non‑formal science literacy programmes, contributing significantly to educational development in Nigeria.

Professor Agbo has published extensively in national and international journals, authored several influential books including The Science Teacher’s Companion and Essentials of Project Writing, and contributed chapters to key texts on science and curriculum instruction. She has also co‑edited proceedings and journals that shape discourse in science, technology, and mathematics education.

She is an active member of several professional bodies including the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), the Nigerian Association of Science Education Research (NASER), the Curriculum Organisation of Nigeria (CON), and Women in Science and Technology (WIST). Her leadership and service extend to supervising numerous undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses, many of which address pressing challenges in science education across Nigeria.
