DR. MORGAN GOSON PIWUNA is a distinguish legal scholar and professor at the University of Jos
Nigeria. With a career spanning over two decades, he has made significant contributions to academia, legal practice, and public service. Dr. Piwuna holds a .D. in Law from the University of Jos, along with an LL.M, LL.B (Hons.), and a B. L. from the Nigerian Law School.
He has served in various academic capacities, progressing from Lecturer to Professor, and has taught courses in Contract Law, Administrative Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Peace and Conflict Resolution. His research focuses on intellectual property, human rights, and legal frameworks in governance, with numerous publications in reputable journals.
Beyond academia, Dr. Piwuna has held leadership roles, including Chairman of the Plateau State Pension Board and Senior Banking Officer at Diamond Bank PLC. He is a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management of Nigeria and a member of professional bodies such as the Nigerian Bar Association and the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers.
A committed mentor and researcher, author of the book “Trademarks as a quality control instrument in Nigeria: Consumer Protection in Perspective”. Dr. Piwuna continues to shape legal education and policy development in Nigeria. While actively contributing to community service and legal reforms.
