As part of its commitment to academic excellence and research advancement, the Department organises Research Breakfast Meetings on the first Monday of every month. These sessions provide a vibrant platform for academic staff to engage in scholarly discourse, present ongoing research, examine emerging developments in management and business studies, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthen the Department’s research culture and capacity. Through this initiative, the Department continues to enhance its contribution to knowledge generation, policy formulation, and evidence-based management practice. Also, in recognition of the critical role of industry–academia collaboration in contemporary business education, the Department hosts a Business Parley and Industry Engagement Forum on the third Monday of every month. This strategic forum brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, government officials, alumni, and other key stakeholders to discuss current business challenges, emerging opportunities, and developments in the corporate and public sectors. These engagements facilitate knowledge exchange, bridge the gap between theory and practice, enrich the learning experience of students, and foster strategic partnerships that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic development.
Beyond the award of our highly respected Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, we provide pathways for professional development through curriculum-integrated opportunities that facilitate membership and certification with recognised professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), subject to the completion of prescribed requirements.
