UNIVERSITY OF JOS TO BECOME A RESEARCH INTENSIVE UNIVERSITY The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos Professor Hayward Babale Mafuyai says the Office of Research Development is pivotal to the current aspirations of University of Jos during the next five years. Professor Mafuyai who stated this when he received staff of the office of Research Development led by Dr. Mrs. Amineyo expressed optimism that within that period University of Jos will have comprehensive undergraduate programmes and will become a research intensive university. He said he intends to build on the foundation laid by the previous Vice Chancellor and that onus has been placed on them to bring the dream to reality. Earlier, the leader of the team and an Assistant Director Dr. Mrs. Amineyo said they had come to congratulate the Vice Chancellor on his new appointment and urged him to maintain the same principles he used when he was the Director, Office of Research Development.
