Couples have been enjoined to focus on Jesus Christ for the success of their marriages. This advice was given by Reverend Aaron Ndirmbita, the Reverend in-charge of COCIN Headquarters Church at the wedding solemnization between Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Sonni Tyoden and Abigail Yakubu recently. According to Reverend Ndirmbita, marriage is a sacred institution which mystery can only be understood by God.
He said that if the couple place their trust in God, they will never be disappointed, explaining that marriage is the only institution that is not temporal, but ordained by God.
Reverend Ndirmbita who emphasized the need to have faith in Jesus Christ read from the books of Hebrews and Matthew. He spoke on the power of faith using the example of Peter, Jesus’ disciple.
At the reception, which held at the HBC Resort, the Plateau State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Pauline Tallen enjoined guest to pray for the couple for God’s continuous grace.
The wedding which was well attended was graced by the Plateau State Governor, Da Jonah Jang, The Deputy Governors of Plateau, Nasarawa and Taraba States. Others were the former minister for Trade and Industry, Ambassador (Sir) Fidelis Tapgun, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti who is also the Chancellor of the University of Jos, and Proffessor Musa Abdullahi, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University among many others.
