Registration
All new students on arrival at the university should proceed for registration as follows:
Academic office: to collect registration file and forms and to have them signed
Bursary: to pay the necessary fees
Student Affairs officer: for hostel accomodation if they qualify
Departments/Faculties: for other courses registration
Library: for registration
The Health Centre: for registration and medical examination
Matriculation/Induction ceremony
Every new student must be matriculated before he/she is recognised as having entered the academic community of the university. At the ceremony, students are expected to take the matriculation oath which reads thus:
" I solemnly undertake and swear to observe and respect the provision of the University of Jos law and statutes, ordinances and regulations lawfully made thereunder which are in force which shall from time to time be brought into force."
All students are expected to be dressed formerly in their academic gowns during the ceremony
