ADMISSION
Entry Requirements.
U.M.E.
Candidates offered provisional admission into the University of Jos must have passed five subjects at the G.C.E O/level or 5 credits at S.S.C.E or a combination of these in not more than two sittings including english Language and Mathematics and have written the J.A.M.B. Examination. The candidate's qualifications must include credit in Mathematics for admission into Faculty of Natural Sciences.
Direct Entry
Candidates must have passed 5 papers. Two of which must be at the Advanced Level or 4 papers with 3 at the Advanced Level or equivalents acceptable by the University of Jos. In either case, there must be a credit in Mathematics.
Post Graduate
With respect to admission, registration,duration, mode and programme of study, supervision, examinations,etc. the provisions of the Unijos Regulations Governing Higher degrees programmes primarily by coursework shall apply and shall take precedence over Departmental requirements.
Orientation of new students
The orientation of new students to the University usually takes place in the first month of resumption after registration. The orientation programme is organised by the Students Affairs division in cooperation with other departments. The programme is intended to enable new students settle down and adjust to university life.
