THE UNIVERSITY OF JOS ADVANCEMENT OFFICE
The first strategic plan of the University of
Jos outlined the idea of establishing a fundraising
office in the face of dwindling resources. With
a $2 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation
of New York in 2003, the University decided
to commence the implementation of the fund raising
office project.
The peculiarity of the developing world and
the spirit of South-South Cooperation persuaded
management to engage the services of Inyathelo,
The South African Institute of Advancement,
as consultants for the project. Apart from being
an exciting opportunity of cooperation between
countries, this project gives a boost to micro
new partnerships for African development.
