The Advancement team is composed of a team of talented and energetic professionals who are committed to supporting the mission of the University of Jos in different ways.


Victor S. Dugga (Ph.D.), Executive Director, Advancement Office, studied at the Universities of Jos, Nigeria, Essex, UK and Bayreuth, Germany. He has been lecturer, creative writer and theatre director at the University of Jos. His short story ‘Over the bar’ won first prize in a writing contest organized by the Swiss Society for African Studies and FIFA in Zurich 2001. His book Creolisations in Nigerian Theatre was published 2002. He has attended CASE workshops in Durham in 1994 and 1995.

Dirk’s broad – based practical business and formal education background is related to his experiences in living and working in cross-cultural settings most of his life. He was born in the Netherlands, grew up in Canada and received his post secondary education in the USA. He is a graduate of Calvin College and holds the M.A. and Doctorate Degrees from Western Michigan University.

Dirk and his wife Jean serve as consultants in Fund Raising and Planned Giving for the Christian Reformed World Missions. Dirk also serves as a trustee and advisor to the first Christian University in Benue State of Nigeria.
When at home in North America, they help missionaries in raising support.

Micah joined the Advancement Office in March, 2005, after working in the Bursary Dept for many years as an Accountant. He earned a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of Jos. His duties include processing, managing grant accounts and the operational budget of the office. He also prepares financial reports and assists with office administration. Micah’s position gives him the opportunity to give donors a pleasant experience of supporting the University through innovative stewardship.

Esther joined the Advancement Office in March 2005. She was previously the Personal Secretary to the Dean of Pharmaceutical Science, University of Jos.

Her duties in the Advancement Office include maintenance of schedules of activities and programs; providing support to the Executive Director in Administrative Duties; maintaining the Executive Director’s calendars; arrangement and covering of meetings; making travel arrangements and other activities.

Esther has a B.Ed in Educational Administration and Planning and has a graduate degree in Public Administration, both from the University of Jos, Nigeria.

Adoration_Dashit

Great Josites! Adoration Co-ordinates alumini and pre-alumni to build them to support programmes and initiatives that will asist the University in achieving institutional goals. Activities include programmes to cultivate the institutional loyalty of pre-alumni. Liases with alumni chapters and identifies alumni that have excelled in their various fields, arranges for alumni related publications.

Adoration recieved B.Sc in Geography from the University of Jos. He worked as an administrator in Governor's office Benin City, Edo state before being employed in the advancement office, University of Jos as the Alumni Relations Officer.

Naomi laiases with the faculties/units for proposal generation and projects coordination. She ensures timely execution of projects and appropriate utilization of funds in accordance with donor specification as part of the new stewardship to foster better relationship.

Naomi received a B.ED (Admin) and Masters in Public Administration in the University of Jos. She has served the University in various capacities as an administrator before joining the Advancement Office.

Sarah’s office co-ordinates media activities including radio/television programmes, press conferences and news releases.

Previously, Sarah served twelve years as Newscaster/Editor with the Nigerian Television Authority, Jos.

She received both her B.A. and M.A. in Theatre and Communication Arts from the University of Jos. She also taught Mass Communication with the Department before joining the Advancement Office.

Naandye Dabugat was seconded from Management Information Systems (MIS) unit in March, 2005 to manage prospects and alumni database for the newly established Advancement Office as Information Services Officer. He is engaged in proactive prospect research and provides Information Technology (IT) support for the office.

Naandye loves traveling and timely delivery of any job assigned to him.

Priscilla Queen Kparevzua –Researcher & Proposal Writer in the Advancement Office.

Priscilla joined the University of Jos Advancement Office in March, 2005 as the Researcher & Proposal Writer. Previously, she taught English Language at the department of English, University of Jos and still takes one or two courses at the undergraduate level in the same institution.

Priscilla researches individuals, corporate organizations and Foundations, among others. She also writes proposals aimed at winning grants and support for the development of the University. She enjoys making friends for the University.
