Virtual Library, OARE, Oxford Journals, Questia – The Online Library

Apart from
these databases, the eGranary (http://egranary.unijos.edu.ng)
with its over 3,000,000 full-text resources (sites, journals, e-books) adds
to the total collection. Some subject librarians from the University Library

Library
Instruction
The University Libraries
Instruction is done in three ways: the Use of Library Lectures to fresh
undergraduate students of the University; the Advanced Use of Library
taught to third and final year undergraduate and postgraduate students
respectively; and the Sensitization classes for the final year
undergraduate students in Internet and electronic resources search
strategies.
Tutorial
The ever changing information
environment and the diverse resources obtainable over the Internet, has led
to an increasing dependence on these resources, necessitating the
development of relevant tutorials. These tutorials help in guiding users
towards effective and productive search strategies. One of such tutorials
is the Texas Information Literacy Tutorial distributed under the Open
Publication License. A link has been created to it for use by patrons of
the
University
of
Jos Libraries
